Crude sunflower oil is obtained from partially dehulled seeds by mechanical pressing followed by hexane extraction and water degumming.
Crude sunflower oil is used in the production of refined edible sunflower oil, mixed edible oil, blended edible vegetable fat, fat spreads, mayonnaise and related products. In sunflower oil refinery plant, crude sunflower oil is settled, filtrated then through degumming, deacidification, decolorization, deodorization and dewaxing five stages to absorbing substance to clarify the product. All these stages are for obtaining higher quality of sunflower oil.
